Programme Policy Officer (Gender, Protection and Inclusion) - NOA

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) Tajikistan is recruiting a National Programme Policy Officer (Gender, Protection and Inclusion) for a one-year fixed-term assignment in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. This is a vacancy open only to nationals of Tajikistan. The officer reports to the Head of Programme and works closely with programme, field office, monitoring, partnerships, supply chain and other teams, while coordinating with regional and headquarters counterparts on gender, protection, inclusion, accountability to affected populations and safeguarding. The role advances gender, protection and inclusion priorities under the Country Strategic Plan (CSP).

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to programme strategies, projects, plans and processes on gender equality, protection, disability inclusion, accountability to affected populations (AAP), PSEA and safeguarding, aligned with WFP policies and country priorities.
• Provide project management and technical support to gender, protection and inclusion initiatives across the programme cycle, including assessments, design, implementation, monitoring, reporting and learning, and lead WFP Tajikistan's work with adolescents and youth.
• Support data collection, monitoring and analysis so that gender, protection and inclusion considerations are integrated into vulnerability assessments, food security analyses, targeting and prioritization, and coordinate analyses, formative research, risk assessments and community consultations.
• Research and analyse policy and operational issues, identify and monitor risks such as exclusion, discrimination, gender-based violence and child protection concerns, and support mitigation actions.
• Prepare reports, assessments, donor deliverables and guidance notes on gender, protection and inclusion activities.
