Senior Programme Associate – Quality Control Monitoring

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Programme Associate to lead quality control monitoring of visa application services for German family reunification, resettlement and evacuation cases in Tajikistan. Reporting to the National Project Officer (FAP) and the FAP Project Officer (Quality Control and Monitoring), the incumbent will ensure compliance with standards and support programme improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the quality‑control focal point for the FAP project, overseeing day‑to‑day monitoring of visa applications.
• Develop, update and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to visa processing and quality assurance.
• Conduct compliance reviews, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions to maintain programme standards.
• Prepare analytical reports, monitoring tools and performance tracking mechanisms for senior management.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government, UN agencies and donor partners, to support quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Management, Social Science, Engineering or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience in programme monitoring, quality control, quality assurance or project management, preferably within international or donor‑funded projects.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of another UN language or beneficiary languages (Dari, Pashto) is an advantage.
