Digital Health Specialist

About the role

The Digital Health Specialist will support the delivery and enhancement of digital health activities in Tajikistan, working closely with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MOHSPP) and project partners. The role focuses on strengthening digital health information systems such as DHIS2 and LIMS, improving electronic data collection tools, and ensuring data quality for disease surveillance and program monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for implementation, enhancement, and integration of digital health information systems (DHIS2, LIMS, other platforms) in collaboration with MOHSPP and partners.
• Develop and improve electronic data collection tools, reporting forms, and digital workflows, and promote interoperability between health information systems.
• Deliver training and ongoing technical assistance to health facilities, government counterparts, and implementing partners on digital health tools.
• Conduct data validation, routine quality checks, and resolve data‑related issues to ensure reliable health data.
• Prepare user guides, SOPs, technical documentation, and analytical products such as reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Participate in testing, validation, and rollout of new digital health solutions and support procurement evaluation as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Public Health, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in digital health, health information systems, IT, or data management.
• Proven experience working with DHIS2 or similar health information systems (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities; ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Tajik and Russian.
