Migration Health Physician

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a qualified Migration Health Physician to join its Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Dushanbe. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Chief Migration Health Officer, the physician will provide clinical services that support safe and orderly migration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive health assessments for migrants at the MHAC in Dushanbe.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and infection prevention and control protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate medical care and referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report health trends to senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in Tajikistan.
• Minimum four years of professional clinical experience, preferably in a multidisciplinary hospital setting.
• Recent clinical posting within the last three years.
• Strong knowledge of clinical medicine, bedside manner, patient safety, and infection control.
