Overhead Line Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Overhead Line Engineer to join its Rail Team. You will work on a variety of design and advisory projects, from concept through detailed design, helping clients deliver safe and efficient rail infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, check and verify detailed designs for overhead wiring engineering solutions, including assessment, allocation and construction design.
• Develop feasibility studies, technical reports and other written documentation.
• Apply design optimisation and digital engineering techniques to improve project outcomes.
• Deliver work within programme, budget and specification constraints.
• Support overhead wiring design teams and ensure compliance with technical and quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in electrical, civil or rail engineering.
• Chartered status is preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for innovative engineering and continuous learning.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
