Inspector of Works – Electrical

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works (Electrical) to ensure electrical installations on site meet approved drawings, specifications and safety standards. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer and project team to deliver high‑quality outcomes on complex construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily electrical construction activities and verify compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks on electrical installations.
• Review electrical drawings and method statements, reporting any discrepancies.
• Attend inspections and testing activities, documenting results and issuing site memos for non‑compliant work.
• Support monthly progress claim verification and variation order preparation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities and progress.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate with contractors and consultants.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical supervision experience, preferably in industrial or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of local construction practices and data‑centre infrastructure.
• Valid driving licence for site mobility.
