Automation Consultant – Engineering & AI Solutions

About the role

Aurecon is looking for an Automation Consultant to design and deliver intelligent software tools that streamline engineering and design workflows across the APAC region. You will join a Vietnam‑based team, working on both project‑specific applications and enterprise‑wide digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality automation and AI‑driven tools and web applications for engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering delivery teams to translate business requirements into effective software solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation tools, ensuring they stay aligned with evolving needs.
• Document software solutions and create user guides or tutorials for end‑users.
• Present technical concepts clearly to delivery team members and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong background in software development with proficiency in Python, Visual Basic, C# or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience in AI and machine learning, such as building intelligent assistants or predictive models.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and design workflows, able to convert them into scalable digital solutions.
• Proficiency with Autodesk platforms (Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD) and automation tools like Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Ability to work independently on complex challenges and contribute to regional digital initiatives.
• High level of English proficiency suitable for an international environment.
