Electrical Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to ensure that all electrical works on construction sites are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer and project team to deliver reliable electrical installations across industrial and institutional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily electrical construction activities and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing of electrical installations.
• Review electrical drawings and method statements, report discrepancies, and issue site memos for non‑compliant work.
• Support progress claim verification, variation orders, and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Attend site meetings, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and ensure site mobility with a valid driving licence.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical supervision experience, preferably in industrial or institutional developments.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, data centre infrastructure, and local construction practices.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driving licence.
